About the Item
In this stunning piece by the renowned artist Yuroz, beautifully encapsulates the timeless themes of love and romance. This artwork invites you to witness a lover's serenade, where a guitar without strings becomes a symbol of deep connection, while a pomegranate—a rich emblem of love and prosperity—serves as a poignant offering from his muse.
As you gaze upon this cubist masterpiece, allow yourself to be drawn into the layers of contrasts and balances crafted by Yuroz’s masterful use of color, line, and form. The sepia tones create a warm embrace, while the bold black outlines emphasize the intimate dance between the lovers, urging you to reflect on your heart song.
Yuroz, often regarded as a “people’s artist,” occupies a distinctive space in contemporary art. His oeuvre chronicles the breadth of human emotion and experience, from the tender intimacy of lovers to the resilient spirit of refugees. Deeply autobiographical, Yuroz’s work emerges as a dialogue between personal memory and universal truths, rendering him a storyteller of the human condition.
This piece is finished off floating in a gold frame with a black floater to create more depth in the piece. The back has a personalized hand drawing of a man and a woman and dedicated to the artist of the previous owner.

View All"Gamblers", Ming Wai, Original Oil on Canvas, 36x48, Color Figurative Abstract
By Ming Wai
Located in Dallas, TX
Wai Ming is a Chinese Asian Modern & Contemporary painter who was born in 1938. In this colorful abstract painting, women are huddled in a circle gambling and betting. Wai Ming's love for art flourished and he developed his drawing techniques without any art education, just painting what he saw. In the 1960s, Ming found representation in Hong Kong and also took the unusual step of opening his own gallery to display his work. His primary interest was to capture images of life in fishing villages, or 'fish-folk', who have retained traditional Chinese culture, his work was at home with the sensibilities of many art buyers in Hong Kong, and so was able to find some initial success. Crossing the ocean in his mid-30s, Wai Ming arrived in San Francisco from Hong Kong in 1974. There, he experienced initial resistance from galleries and the official art world for a variety of reasons but was ultimately embraced by dealer Jack Swanson...
