Biography:
Daniel Content was born of Dutch parents and grew up in New York City. He attended New Eutriek High School in Brooklyn, NY. He studied under Dean Cornwell at the Pratt Institute as well as attending the Art Students League. Mr. Content worked as a freelance artist for about thirty years. He illustrated for such magazines as Colliers, Cosmopolitan, Readers Digest, and McCall's. In 1928 he illustrated the Windermere Series printing of Robin Hood. During World War II he traveled with the USO to Burma and India entertaining the service men with personal sketches. In the late 1950s he was an Art Director for Benton & Bowles in NYC. He also taught at the workshop School of Advertising Art. Mr. Content continued his sculpting and painting long after retirement. Some of his work can be found at Society of Illustrators in their permanent Museum.

A collector should consider several factors when deciding from whom to purchase artwork online.
Check the location of the seller. When one buys from a foreign seller, one also has to consider the problems of getting the piece through Customs. There are often delays and considerable fees to pay in order to import the item. When purchasing from us, we ship the same day and you receive it via FedEx the next day, no problems or hassles.
When one purchases from an auction house, one pays a buyer’s premium of anywhere from 23% to 28% over the “hammer price”. So when one “wins” an auction for $20,000, the actual price paid is more like $25,000. By contrast, when purchasing from us, the price agreed to is the price paid by the buyer, no hidden fees.
Secondly, when one purchases from an auction house, the buyer pays the packing and shipping fee, which are usually exorbitant. By contrast, when purchasing from us, the price includes packing and shipping.
Thirdly, when one purchases from an auction house, the sale is final. If one receives the piece and is not 100% satisfied with it, there is nothing the buyer can do about it. They are stuck with it. Masterly painted genre scene “testing grandfather’s pipe” depicting lively domestic moment. The little prankster wants to be like his grandfather, but how can he not try his grandfather’s pipe, which he loves so much and does not let go of even in his sleep. The curious and brave sly man, despite the consequences, took off his shoes to approach quietly... One can imagine his disappointment and emotions after he accomplished what he had planned... The boy's faithful friend, a small dog, looks at all this with interest and curiosity. Loved and admired for his talent to realistically portray life and tell a story at the same time, Henningsen took great pride to never include any personal feelings or philosophy, but to stay neutral to the subject matter for whichever painting he was doing. Antique oil painting on canvas, signed, framed.

Erik Henningsen was educated at the Copenhagen Royal Academy of Art. He Traveled and studied in Germany, Italy, France and Holland, and received numerous awards and medals throughout Europe. He later became a member of the Royal Academy of Art. Exhibited in Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, Vienna, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Lubeck, and many more. Erik Henningsen is always mentioned in the same breath as his older brother, painter Frants Henningsen. Both with their traditionally classic approach to realism, anecdotal undertones and bold use of dark colors, they were the most loved and celebrated illustrators of life and times; often depicting the hardships and trials of that day and age. During his lifetime, Johannes Bosboom would become one of the best-known painters of church interiors. His work has been much appreciated over time.
He received his training from Romantic masters such as Bart van Hove and Wijnand Nuijen. Johannes Bosboom also took lessons at the Hague Drawing Academy.
He showed his preference for the church interior at an early age. He made several journeys in his early years as an artist. In 1835 he visited Germany and in 1837 he traveled to France via Antwerp, where he worked mainly in Rouen and Paris.
In 1851 he married the writer Anna Bosboom-Toussaint.
He is considered a precursor of the 'Hague School'.
The masterful way in which he used light in his church interiors made him one of the most important European painters in this genre.

Tetiana Kalivoshko is an American-based Ukrainian artist who specializes in painting, sculpture, and art installations. Graduated from the L’viv National Academy of Art and Shanghai's East China Normal University.
She decided to devote herself to the world of art in 2015 after seeing the exhibition "In Love With Art" which motivated her to begin developing her art and ideas and to travel across the world.
Tetiana's debut project installation, "Peace," was shown in several Ukrainian cities. The installation “Peace”.
Her work materialized spectacular shapes of Chinese hieroglyphs that mean "Peace". In 2016, Tetiana presented her first collection, "Warm inside", in Shanghai.
