Carl Henrik Nordenberg, born 19 May 1857 in Asarum, died 1 November 1928 in Düsseldorf,was a Swedish-German artist, nephew of the artist Bengt Nordenberg. Nordenberg studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf 1873–1884 and then lived there until his death. He often painted interiors, genre paintings with working women like this one, sailors and fishermen, also urban motifs and also worked with etchings and is represented at, among others, the National Museum in Stockholm
