Beautiful large mid 20th century Danish oil on canvas by Aage Strand. Signed with initials lower right.
Aage Strand (Danish, 1910-1974)
Painter Aage Strand, born on 20 June 1910 in Logator. Medlen of M.K.S. and the Artists' Society. Education: Self-taught.
The artist has exhibited at the Artists' Autumn Exhibition 1941 - 1943 - 1944 - 1945 - 1949 - and 1951, and that Charlottenborg 1942 - 1943 - 1944 - 1945 - 1947 - 1948 - 1952 - 1958, and in 1954 he received the Heuhausen Prize at Charlottenborg for a standing girl.
The artist has exhibited paintings as well as sculptures and mosaic works, and he has carried out large decorative works for Tuborgs Dryggerier, D & W's museum, Paladshotellet, Thybofonden etc. works that have been reproduced and mentioned in the Press. Aage Strand has sold to several art associations and large institutions here and in Norway and Sweden. Among other things, Eriksberg's, Nandelskanken's and the insurance company Ocean's art associations in Gothenburg, Nalmo Police and Goteborg Police's art associations have bought pictures.
In addition, Aage Strand has had several separate exhibitions, among others. a. Carlsberg Funktionaerernes Kunstforening, Kunstudstillingsbygningen in Odense, Galleri Birch, Rageleje Hotel.
In 1952, Aage Strand joined the "Artists' Society's Painting Section".
