Artist's Commentary:
"This canvas is a landscape created with acrylics, oil pastels and graphite. The color of the painting is blue and a light blue grey. The lower part is made with an overlapping paper texture, where the viewer can observe the depth through a perception of perspective given by the grooves made with graphite and the addition of light yellowish colors that determine the depth. This is a countryside landscape of my area (Po Valley), seen through my mind's eye and through a future vision. The color of water, blue in our mental stereotype, here becomes almost arid land, like a past memory. It is a painting that speaks of the climate changes we are experiencing throughout our planet. It becomes an opportunity for reflection for our individual and collective behaviors. The grey sky touched at the edge by a yellowish color gives a sense of wear and at the same time makes us think of a distant memory. A memory that requires a reflection on the environment."
About the Artist:
Alessio has been drawing and painting since the age of 10, then he graduated from the Martini Art Institute and attended the Academy in Florence. He works in the advertising field (Leodari advertising) and in the logistics sector (SMIPA). He paints at night and in his free time, until all this is no longer enough and he begins a journey fully dedicated to painting. ARTISTIC FEATURES Alessio's work is focused on the abstract vision of reality. His art is an interpretation of nature and the perception of it filtered by his mind. His way of representing the world is meditative and conceptual. Alessio finds inspiration from the minimalism and abstract expressionism of the New York School, such as Rothko or Pollock but also by Basquiat and Kline.His paintings are often a purification of the original image, created to inspire the observer to think and ask questions about what he sees through his critical sense.Everything is created by him in an analogical way , with discreet colors, and with taste, without excesses or strong tones. Brushes, spatulas, rags and with the help of various materials (including construction) are the tools to make his work possible
