Born and raised amidst the serene beauty of a pond, a lake, and 40 acres of forest, Young's expressive and painterly approach captures the essence of her surroundings. Young created this original 41-inch high by 22-inch wide painting with many layers of oil on canvas, adding a sense of depth. She takes time to observe nature in quiet contemplation that soothes her mind. She then translates her observations onto canvas, celebrating the beauty of the natural world. In this artwork, the soft grass landscape and other shapes of nature gently move with the wind, revealing glimpses of the peaceful sky.
