About the Item
This is a woman impressionist artist who studied with John Twachtman. Ann Crane was educated in Europe and was a student of the French academic painter Luc-Olivier Merson. Well-known masters such Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Gainsborough, George Romney, as well as the leading American painters of the day, were represented in her exhibitions.
