Delightful street scene by Ann Irvine (American, b. 1943). A series of storefronts are shown in white silhouette with thin black outlines. Some objects are shown with delicate shadows, creating a lively sense of dimension. In a few areas, full color accents have been added, creating visual interest and variety.
Signed "Ann Irvine" in the lower right corner.
Presented in an aluminum frame with a green accent.

Ann Irvine (American, b. 1943) is an artist and illustrator from Key West, Florida. She earned her Master’s in Criminology at Florida State University, but found her passion for art shortly after graduation. She began painting en plain aire, focusing on local scenes and landmarks, developing her signature style with graphic outlines over bright colors. She and her husband Ron (also an artist) opened Guild Hall Gallery, which also served as a workspace for several other artists, including Walter Ashe, Barbara Hodgens, and Maxine McMullen. Irvine’s art has been used for coloring books, including the Tallahassee Coloring Book and the Key West Coloring Book.

Richard "Don" Klopfer (1920-2009) attended the National Art School in Washington D.C. and the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. Klopfer was a life-long, passionate visual artist who worked in a variety of mediums, including oil paints, wood and bronze. His gallery "The Flair" was on Pico Blvd West Los Angeles from 1954 to 1980 was a gathering place for artists, friends and collectors.
He was recognized for the use of brilliant color in his paintings and for leaving drawings everywhere he went. Klopfer's painting "My Old House" is on permanent exhibition at San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA). He has also exhibited at The Los Angeles County Art Museum, Esther Robles Gallery, Third Street Gallery, Westwood Art Association, Barnsdale Park, and Robert Pyle Gallery.
