Eilean Donan Castle, situated on a small island at the confluence of three sea lochs in the Scottish Highlands, is one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks. Established in the 13th century, it served as a stronghold for the Mackenzie and MacRae clans. The castle was destroyed in 1719 during the Jacobite risings but was meticulously restored between 1919 and 1932 by Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap
