About the Item
This original seascape will afford you a return to calmer days, an unending afternoon at the dunes! The dune grass, sandy stairs and fencing forever in need of adjusting from the strong winds, are reminiscent of days worthy of remembering and days ahead worth dreaming of! Artist Bart Deceglie uses strong brush strokes and an extensive array of colors to create a sun bleached haven for those who hear the call of the sea. To enhance the feeling of the expanse of dunes, beach and ocean, the artist prepared his marine landscape with a 1.5" gallery wrapped edge that continues the subject matter thereby also giving the oil painting a contemporary element ideal for transitional decors. Born and raised in Italy, now living and painting in New York, artist Bart DeCeglie studied his craft at both Pratt Institute and the Phoenix School of Art and Design before returning to Pratt Institute as an adjunct professor. DeCeglie has also taught at both New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and the National Art League when not at easel.
