About the Item
Even the incomparable Venice hangs it's laundry out to dry, just as have generations before them! The air fluffs them out offering the ladies of the house a chance to check on the children's current goings on as well as the upcoming party or charity event! In classic impressionist style popular Italian American artist and teacher captures the charm age and waterways that define Venice with impasto paint, impressionist brush strokes and ancient colors. This Italian landscape depicts how Venitian life is wound together by vaporiti, gondolas, water taxis, waterways, gracious buildings and shadows from earlier times. Born and raised in Italy, now living and painting in New York, artist Bart DeCeglie studied at both Pratt Institute and the Phoenix School of Art and Design before returning to Pratt Institute as an adjunct professor. DeCeglie has also taught at both New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and the National Art League and offers occasional painting trips to Europe.
