Bettina Mauel expresses vitality and sensuality in her abstract and figurative paintings. “I paint what I experience,” she articulates. “This includes landscapes, dancers, and people in motion, capturing them at a particular moment in time.” Her artworks often incorporate a sophisticated and vibrant sense of movement.
This original seascape painting immerses the viewer in the serenity of gentle ocean hues. The artist skillfully layers soft blues, evoking the depth and tranquility of the coast, sea, and calming waves in an abstract representation. A fusion of modern aesthetics and the essence of coastal beauty, this original artwork embodies the organic allure of nature.
The painting boasts a harmonious blend of sapphire blue, light blue, aqua blue, turquoise, and warm yellow, resulting in a soothing yet modern ambiance. The subtly textured layers add depth, making it ideal for contemporary coastal-style or modern home decor. Painted with oil on canvas, this original creation by renowned artist Bettina Mauel is a true testament to her artistic skill, sought after by collectors around the globe.
This large horizontal artwork is 35 inches high by 67 inches wide. Mauel created this one-of-a-kind painting by placing several layers of acrylic paint on linen canvas with a balanced subtlety. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. It is signed and dated by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. After numerous prestigious private and public acquisitions, her fame was revalidated in 2011, as she achieved a notable prize at the Florence Biennale. These public acquisitions and accolades underscore the enduring allure and impact of her art, captivating audiences and art enthusiasts worldwide.
Bettina Mauel was born 1959 in Wuppertal, Germany. She studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Professor Gerhard Richter and lives in Cologne, Germany. In 1984 she was asked by the city of Wuppertal, Germany to paint scenes of the dance theater of Pina Bausch. This had a major influence on the selection of themes in her imagery. Instead of focusing on spectacular poses, she honed in on the in-between: feelings, thoughts, and fears.
Her works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles and have been shown in numerous exhibitions and art fairs throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. Her artworks have been acquired by many notable museums and public institutions.
