Clouds Above the Mesa

2022

About the Item

One of the emerging talents of abstract impressionism in the Southwest. "Clouds Above the Mesa" is a strong expressionist take on the multitude of colors of the desert. This painting has very thick texture and richly mixed color. It makes a very strong impression in person. "I am about the expression of the human spirit. That which makes is alive, makes is feel, makes us, each one of us, unique and loved for our individual perspectives and propensities. As I create, I celebrate the freedom of that condition which allows us to see our world and translate or world through the filter of our experience. My art speaks with a though truth of reality. My intent is to engage with the subject and to force upon it the full brunt of my personality, thereby creating a singular, identifiable experience where my subject and my vision become inseparable. In this space I am at home, I am at peace. My wish is to connect with you through the pure visual language of painting, the slap and dash of pigment on canvas, the layered and textured weave of color and the rhythm and dance of sunlight within a composition. I desire to share the breadth of my artistic vision and struggle with you so that you may come to know the beauty that surrounds you in a new light and a new truth. My desire is to conceive paintings that connect with you on a deep and intimate level so that the work becomes timeless, sought-after and cherished in your life. And my love is to offer my gifts and my practice with you and art enthusiasts like you, the world over, that you may benefit from the truthfulness and artistry within.

  • Narciso
    Located in Milano, MI
After touring Europe on a motorcycle, he arrived in Berlin in 2012, where he won a residence for artists with a pictorial series on massification and nihilism. In 2014 he was invited for a residence in Colombia, and subsequently he has travelled to Mexico, Guatemala and Cuba. The experience of Central America affects his painting so much that it becomes gestural and dominated by strong and bright colors. Contact with indigenous communities contributed to the formation of his thought and poetics, which suggests accessing an irrational dimension that cannot be explored through science and technology.
