Blue toned impressionist pastoral landscape by Texas artist Chester Dixon Snowden. The work features a small figure dressed in red skiing across an open snow-covered field. Signed by artist in front lower right corner. Currently hung in a white frame with matching white matting.
Dimensions Without Frame: H 10 in. x W 7.88 in.
Artist Biography: Chester Snowden was born in Elgin, Texas in 1900 and died in Houston, Texas in 1984. Snowden graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and has been known as an illustrator for books. He illustrated Gene Alford's Busy Little Feet in 1939.
