An abstracted view of home, with the light forever glowing from within, is the essence of Allegro. With seemingly random strokes of color and texture the abstract expressionist transitional landscape takes form. The coloration is representational until the texture changes the subject to a living form, subject to interpretation. The green exterior landscaping grounds the oil painting in the imagined reality. Artist Daryl Hastings studied fine art at the Windham College in Vermont followed by the famed School of Visual Arts in New York City. She strives to provide a "compelling visual experience" for the viewer. She finds inspiration for much of her work in the New Jersey countryside where she resides and has her studio. She is a multiple award winning artist. Hastings has selected a contemporary floater frame, to which she has custom altered the finish, to suit her 30x40 original oil painting.
