About the Item
The artist was inspired by this motif while sitting inside a cafe when it was raining outside. We see a wet table with an ashtray and a chair. The sidewalk and the roadway resemble a river and reflect the house opposite, an advertising column, an old gate and a parked car. Not only are the circles on the puddles from the falling drops shown, but also the drops themselves, flying down in oblique lines, bouncing up and to the sides from the plane of the table. A small fragment of the sky with a blue gap, in the distance behind the gate, tells us that the rain will soon end and the day will become clear again. The author deliberately does not specify in which city the plot takes place, since it depicts a fairly typical motif that can be seen in any city of old Europe. The painting conveys the feeling of a strong but fast rainfall, as well as dampness in the air.
The painting is not framed. The sides are not painted. It can decorate a living room, bedroom, study, as well as a business office.

Dmitry Evtushenko graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In art, the artist follows traditions multiplied by impressions from life. He never stops improving his skills and artistic language. Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
