About the Item
The landscape was painted directly from life in Venice. It depicts a typical Venetian canal on a foggy winter day. In the water there are old buildings with peeling plaster exposing the bricks. Near them are covered launches and boats. In the building on the left on the first floor, where the cafe is located, the light is on. In the background, partially disappearing in the fog, you can see the bell tower of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, where Titian is buried. There, in the altar part, one can find his famous Assumption of the Virgin. The painting is painted in silvery colors, which complement the turquoise of the water and the terracotta of the buildings.

Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
