About the Item
Double-sided watercolor of California beach with distant purple mountains by listed artist Doris Ann Warner (American, 1925-2010). On verso is a rough abstract watercolor with blocked out color fields. Circa 1970's. Image size: 15H X 22L
Doris Warner first achieved recognition as an Abstract Expressionist painter, but was primarily known for stone carving, as well as abstract female figures. She studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz as well as Pietrasanta, Italy with Professor Pasquale Martini in 1988. Signed "Warner" lower right on verso. Unframed.
