About the Item
Havana, Cuba –In most southern, tropical cities, buildings are designed in a way to hide from the hot, afternoon sun and Havana is no exception. Pillars support balconies of the old, colonial buildings and provide shade for walkers underneath. These pillars create dramatic shadows on the wall, bright whites and dark grays as the afternoon sun slowly moves across the sky.
