About the Item
Matanzas, Cuba – Mantanzas is a smaller city about an hour west of Havana on the north shore of the island. It is where three rivers meet and is sometimes referred to as the Venice of Cuba – but that is a bit of a stretch. Matanzas is known as a city of culture, with many writers, poets, and painters and is also famous for African folklore. Here, at the local market, an old woman sells her wares while chickens quietly go about just being chickens
