This exceptional fall landscape in the white mountains of New Hampshire was painted by contemporary American artist Erik Koeppel (1980-). Koeppel was born in Oregon and later moved to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where he became well-known for his mastery of traditional techniques used by the 19th and early 20th century landscape painters. Oil on panel, signed lower right, as well as signed, dated, and titled on verso “Mt. Lafayette from Sugar Hill, NH, 2015,” and housed in a splendid giltwood frame. Dimensions: 23.75 in H x 53.25 in W, actual; 33.5 in H x 63.25 in W, framed.
