" LANDSCAPE COAST" original acrylic canvas painting
Francesc Casademont Mercader, Catalan painter with more than 30 years of experience. Specializing in landscapes in oil, he is fascinated by representing his native land, especially the Lluçanès area with its characteristic pre-Pyrenean and mountain image. Nature, urbanism and life are his favorite themes.
Casademont defines himself as a “craftsman who is not an artist”. Considering yourself an artist, he says, is giving yourself importance. Instead, "a craftsman is simply a person who tries to do things to the best of his ability."
His artistic training, apart from what he had at home, goes through the School of Design and Engineering in the first instance and then the School of Design and Art. Then would come his tireless adventures in search of color and contrasts, touring a good part of Europe, North Africa and Asia.
His works lack blank spaces where the color spot predominates throughout the canvas. The softness and the slightly blurred profiles are identity factors throughout his plastic career, which refer to the atmospheric and harmonious sensation and which make up a creative range of meditation, timelessness and serenity.
