About the Item
I depicted the fall landscape onto a merry merlot base. In this figurative painting, I played with calligraphy. Round-leaves of the Mangrove Apple trees shines in bronze calligraphic lines while small leaves of the Mangrove Orange trees shines in gold. The landscape portrayed an illusions of many, such as, ocean, outdoors, reef, sea, water, nature.
I coated the canvas with the glossy Nippon paint. Then I poured layers of ink on it, to create marks in different densities. The off-white marks are intentional flaws. On top of all these, I depicted the gold and bronze leaves. The landscape sparkles and shines from within.
Also, may I introduce this quote from Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, "People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
This is Fall I. It has a continuation of Fall II. Stay tuned!
