About the Item
This painting was inspired following time spent in Dartmouth, Devon. The silhouette of the trees on the top of the hills and the effect of the sun behind the horizon line. The sky full of large billowing clouds demanded many layers of paint to capture their presence. This has resulted in a highly textured piece. The canvas is finished with dark edges and is ready to hang.

By Eleanor Woolley
Located in Deddington, GB
Painswick is an Original Oil painting by Eleanor Woolley. This painting was painted Plein Air in the Painswick valley overlooking the town of Painswick. The view is looking across from Edge common, the morning light catching yellows and pinks in the trees. The houses are nestled together, and look almost on top of each other from this view. The hillside beyond slopes beautifully away, slightly obscured by the light. Patches of green, yellow and blue are glimpsed through the mists.

By Eleanor Woolley
Located in Deddington, GB
The red coat is an Original painting by Eleanor Woolley. This painting is a stylised semi abstract painting inspired by people in landscape. Long shadows are cast from the naively painted figures bodies. There is a muted palette of greys, blues and ochers, with a touch of red in the ladies coat. Painted in the Artist's studio this is an atmospheric piece typical of Eleanor's figurative work.
