Henry Harris is known for large oil paintings of local landscapes with sweeping skies. He paints. Figures, horses, grazing animals in rural, pastoral settings. Lovely woodland scenery in green and autumn tones, the trees are crisp and detailed along the roadway. A woman sits atop the tree trunks as a man adjusts the reins before guiding the horses onward. In the distance, visible from a cut between trees, lies a village with a picturesque white steeple and animals grazing. This painting sight is 26” high and 40” wide with a linen inset and traditional frame. With the frame the painting is 32” by 46” In overall very good condition with no noted faults. Slight scuffs on the old frame, but still highly presentable. This is a large period painting...
