Biography of Maestro Ivan Ivanovich Shyshman,
Born July 31, 1963 in Izmail.

For the significant personal contribution to the development of national culture and art, significant creative achievements and high professional skills, the honorary title “Honored Artist of Ukraine” (2015) was awarded.
Canvases and orthodox paintings by artist Ivan Ivanovich Shyshman illuminated by harmony and love. The brush master brings the viewer closer to eternal spiritual values, awakens a sense of beauty. Parents were descendants of Bulgarian immigrants. He spent his childhood among the Budzhak steppes and lakes of the Danube Delta, listening to songs and legends about the past from old-timers. In 1980, he entered the art and graphic department of the Odessa State Pedagogical Institute. The first solo exhibition of creative works by I.I.Shishman took place in 1985. At the pedagogical institute. He began his career in his hometown. From 1985 to 1991. Ivan Ivanovich worked as a teacher of fine art in the school with. Larzhanka of the Izmail district. Since 1991 - Senior lecturer, and since 2016 - Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts, Izmail State Humanitarian University. Simultaneously with secular painting, since 1994. He began to engage in the restoration of Orthodox monumental painting of the monastery of St. Konstantin and Elena, the Holy Protection Cathedral, as well as the church of St. Wives of Myrrh Bearing Ishmael. In 1997 He completed the design and painting of the new church of St. Rev. Paraskeva-Petka Tarnovsky near Sofia, which became the beginning of many years of work in the field of Orthodox art. Among the largest iconic objects: Holy Trinity Church in Rzhishchev, Kiev region (2004-2011), in which 1,500 square meters. m of paintings using cold encaustic technique, as well as the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary of the Alexander Convent in Odessa Region (2011-2012). Ivan Shishman held 12 solo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. With an exhibition of 58 works, the artist opened the International Congress of the Intellectual Elite in Sofia (1996). He took part in 9 international open-air symposiums on painting, where he represented the fine art of Ukraine. The works of I. Shishman adorn the hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Serbia, Germany, Israel, Bulgaria, the USA, France, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden. For achievements in the field of fine art, Ivan Shishman was awarded government awards, as well as diplomas of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Orthodox Church. Married, has 8 children, three of whom have multiple diplomas at the international and all-Ukrainian painting competitions.
