About the Item
In this painting, the world seems to have melted into a white mush of paint. The sea, the sky, the ships—everything has merged into a kind of pasty abyss, where thick lumps of paint cling to the canvas like foam on forgotten coffee. The sails resemble ghosts stuck in the fog, and the water is like a mirror that someone wiped with a palette knife and forgot to finish.
And amid this milky chaos is a red sailboat, like a drunken hero who accidentally strayed to the left edge of the painting. It stands as if shouting, “Hey! Is anyone there?!” — but all the other boats have long since lost the ability to respond.
This is not the sea — it is a dream after three sleepless nights, where white engulfs all living things and reality dissolves into artistic madness. The painting looks as if the paint decided to live its own life and simply slipped out of the tube straight into existential despair.
