Signed, and dated Sept, 1981. Note of where the painting was done is also written on the back 'Distant view of Ripon, with Cathedral & ploughed field.'
Board size: 16x12 inches
This simple yet dramatic landscape captures a ploughed field in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The cloudy skyline is quite an intense combination of blues and purples, set off by the rich strip of dark leafy trees .
