This artwork titled "Span" 1993 in an acrylic painting on paper by noted artist Richard Morhous, b.1940. It is signed at the lower right corner by the artist. The artwork size is 25.5 x 34 inches, framed size is 33.25 x 41.25 inches. Custom framed in a wooden black frame, with white color matting. It is in excellent condition. About the artist: Richard Morhous is a nationally recognized artist whose work is collected countrywide. Emphasizing painterly qualities and expressionistic color, Morhous creates tangible, new worlds of pictorial space. His colorful paintings depict dynamic cityscapes, still life, and landscapes. Richard Morhous was born in South Dakota in 1945 and raised in Eastern Washington and Montana. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in 1970, Morhous moved to Melbourne, Australia to study printmaking at the Prahan Institute where he also taught. In 1976 he returned to the University of Washington for independent studies in printmaking. The artist, who has resided in Seattle for the last 40 years, has works included in such collections as Microsoft, The Hallie Ford Museum of Art, City of Portland, City of Seattle, Cisco Systems, Perkins Coie, Deloitte Touche, University of Washington Medical Center, The Heathman Hotel and numerousprivate collections internationally.
