DETAIL: Born in 1932, Vice Admiral Sir John Morrison Webster was a Royal Navy officer who became Flag Officer Plymouth and Port Admiral, Devonport. With no formal art training, John started painting as a teenager and was then required to illustrate a personal journal as a Naval midshipman. He was a life member of the Armed Forces Art Society (chairman 1990-96), elected member ot The Royal Society Of Marine Artists and represented by the Rountree Tryon Gallery in London.
