An exceptional impressionistic painting titled 'The Hay-wagon" depicting an afternoon along the field with workers collecting hay on to a wagon with horses. Here the scene is set on a summer day with clouds drifting in the open sky. The horses stand tall and the field is depicted with gestural brush strokes and thick paint. The piece is signed by the artist lower left and it comes housed in a wonderful wood antique gold tone frame and hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
