Beautiful contemporary Carmel, California seascape of rocky coastal formations at Point Lobos by Monterey artist Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958). Signed lower left. Unframed. Image, 9"H x 12"L.
Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958) was born in Los Angeles, California. In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence. She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.
"I met Kathleen Murray in 2013 and right away I decided to support and purchase as many of her paintings as possible. Eight years later and 300 or so paintings purchased; I am happy I decided to invest in this artist. She is a dedicated self taught excellent painter of plein air on the Big Sur coast as you will find. A dedicated artist who has a deep connection to the earth and the sea.
