About the Item
K B was born in Alcester, England, in the mid-1920s and inherited his compulsion to paint from his father. As a boy, he studied at the Academie Juliens in Paris; as a young man, he lived and worked in St Ives, Cornwall, in the presence of artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Leonard Fuller, Ben Nicholson and Sven Berlin, and he exhibited regularly with the St Ives Society of Artists. Although he has been offered exhibitions around the world, Ken has always sold his impressionist oil paintings of France direct to a broad selection of private international collectors – including very famous names from the worlds of show business and politics. He died in 2014.
