A painting by Leon Gaspard. "Siberian Sleighriders" is an oil on canvas on board executed in a pastel palette and depicting a group of sleigh riders traveling through a tree lined pass in the snowy mountains by Russian Impressionist painter Leon Gaspard. "Siberian Sleighriders" relates to a two-year excursion to Mongolia, Manchuria, and Siberia. Gaspard's wife was a wealthy American ballerina whom he met in Paris. Their honeymoon was a two-year horseback trip through Siberia.
