India ink, Japanese pigments on panel covered with copper leaves. 31.8 cm × 40.9 cm. Sold unframed.
In this series of figurative paintings, Lumi Mizutani pays homage to Japan and its wonderful landscapes especially those at Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto and Ueno in Tokyo. The artist places a lot of emphasis on nature and trees in her works of art. This series is characterized by the use of India ink and color pigments together with gold, copper and silver leaf.
