By the moonlight II, triptych painting by French-Japanese contemporary artist Lumi Mizutani, representing white-flowering trees under a gold moon, on a pink background.
Chinese painting and gold leaves on Japanese cardboard. Sold framed (dimensions framed: 34 x 79,5 cm).
In this series of figurative paintings, Lumi Mizutani pays tribute to Japan and its wonderful landscapes especially those at Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto and Ueno in Tokyo. Plum and cherry blossoms pines, weeping willows… the artist places a lot of emphasis on nature and trees in her works. This series is characterized by the use of India ink and color pigments together with gold leaf.
