Tokugawaen, painting by French-Japanese contemporary artist Lumi Mizutani composed of 9 equal-sized squares which altogether represent a view of the Tokugawa Garden, in Nagoya. Gold leaves, India ink, Chinese painting, Japanese pigments on Japanese cardboards. 38.3 cm × 42.8 cm. This artwork is sold framed. Dimensions of the framed artwork: 42,7 x 47,2 cm. In this series of figurative paintings, Lumi Mizutani pays homage to the seasons as well as Japan and its traditional landscapes. The artist places a lot of importance on nature and trees in this series, which is characterized by the use of India ink combined with color pigments predominantly red.
