Marcia Wise's 'Canyon Song' is a 30 x 24 inch oil painting in which light, and the use of complementary colors – yellows, purples, blues and oranges – are used to express light reflected on canyon walls while tree-like structures reach skyward. "Canyon Song" is part of Wise's Southwestern series seeing geometric forms in nature. Many layers of paint are applied for a visual effect of texture. The oil painting is unframed with the sides painted black, and signed by the artist on the front.
