I prefer acrylic and mixed media because many layers dry quickly and I can manipulate the paint with brushes, my hands, and a collection of unusual tools. I love the spontaneity of large brushes and dripping paint. I enjoy experiments with the media and often incorporate several in a painting. For me, it's not about the media so much as getting the effect I want."
