Beautiful modernist / impressionist landscape by Marian Butler Ewald. The painting is oil on canvass measuring 24" x 27". Framed dimensions 31.5" x 34.5". The painting is signed en verso M Butler and is titled "Spring 1930." Bears a stamp that reads "Registered. The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Chester Springs PA."Registered April 16, 1930'
The painting and frame are both in very good to excellent overall condition and are ready to hang. The package will fit perfectly with a collection of Bucks County PA art, and is increasingly desirable these days, give the growing focus on woman painters from the period.
