Marko Stupar'St Marks Campanile' Romantic Venetian Painting of Venice with iconic view, boat
About the Item
'St Marks Campanile' is a Romantic Venetian Painting of the most famous city in the world, Venice with this iconic view being the focal point , the canvas is also bustling with detail. Boats on the water, incredible architecture and figures all over the canvas.
Marko Stupar was born in post-war Yugoslavia and chose Montmartre, Paris as his permanent home after completing his art training at Beaux-Arts at Belgrade.
His work has always been particularly personal and of a Slavic background in style, with the combined subtlety found in Pierre Bonnard’s work. The combination of colour, life and space of his works together form saturated images that are clean and harmonious visual experiences. He participated in numerous juried exhibitions from 1966 and entered works in Salons regularly, including Salon d'Automne and Salon des Artistes Francais.

He was always drawn to harbours, boats and quays and this scene of The River Arun...Category
