Bathed in the Spring sunshine of Val d'Oise region of France, just north of Paris, the execution is bursting with color. The heavy daubing of the paints is almost pointillistic in its depiction which fully captures the beauty of afternoon strollers on the old stone bridge in the dappled sunlight.
Maurice Walter Edmond de Lambert was gifted painter and colorist though he was also known as a lithographer and print maker. At least one of his prints resides in the Museum of Vincent Van Gogh located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
