About the Item
Mostafa Darehbagi is best known for his artistic signature style of combining a series of geometric rhythmic patterns with figurative subjects to create a unique synthesis. Despite his use of figuration, the world of Mostafa's art is a totally abstract one, time being its main constitutive material: it is not a geographical world. His subjects float in a pure non-geographical and somehow placeless space. By placing his subjects against a two-dimensional geometry of small embossed forms in an orderly, repetitive and steady rhythm, the living gain nearly the same abstract value as their inanimate counterparts.
Mostafa Darehbagi studied fine art at the University of Art and Plastic Art School. He has exhibited internationally at leading institutions and galleries.
