Oil on canvas; framed in an antique-white-finished frame with gilt slip.

Born in India, in Nusserabad, she studied art at the Royal Academy Schools in Dusseldorf. She lived in Welwyn Garden City, in Hertfordshire, with her daughter, Faith Sheppard, also a painter and frequently painted in Cambridge. She also painted under the name Nancy Sheppard.
