"Here is a contemporary view of the millennial shrine of St. Sophia of Kyiv, the cradle of Ukrainian spirituality and statehood. This chamber study was born under the artist's brush in the open air, when the ancient walls of the cathedral told their secrets through the play of light and shadow.
St. Sophia of Kyiv is not just an architectural monument, but a living history book that began to be written in the eleventh century during the heyday of Kievan Rus. The artist skillfully conveys this dialectic of time, when eternal stones meet the changing light of the modern world.
The combination of academic precision and impressionistic sensitivity allowed to create a work that breathes the authenticity of plein air painting. Each stroke of oil carries a sense of presence - as if you were standing next to the artist under the walls of the temple, feeling the weight of centuries and the beauty of the moment.
