“Memories” is a canvas where the mountain landscape comes to life in the dynamics of the elements and feelings. Silvery-gray rain clouds descend from the peaks, enveloping the slopes in a transparent haze, and the depths of the mountains are filled with an anxious but majestic silence. A warm red glow breaks through this harsh atmosphere — a symbol of memory that, like a gentle fire, calms the storm in the heart of the mountains and in the soul of the viewer.
Working in an academic style with impressionistic overtones, artist Alexander Khrapachov has created a work full of emotional contrasts and subtle harmony.
