This Parisian cityscape depicts an afternoon at a bistro. Patrons can be made out in the patio seating enjoying their lunches while city life bustles around them. The muted colour palette hints at the cooler season, bare trees surround the bistro. This plein air sketch was completed in Paris by the artist, capturing the true character of the day.

Peter Schulz is a Canadian born artist who focuses on plein air oil paintings. From Ontario he has a large collection of nature paintings but he also used his career as a pilot to paint across the world. While he recieved no formal artistic training he considers himself a student of galleries and artists, always seeking to learn from those around him and who came before. His work is collected internationally.
