Born in France, Philippe Monteagudo established himself in Paris in the 1960s, developing a style that combined expressive brushwork with structural clarity. He exhibited widely and with success including at the Galerie Louvigny in Luxembourg, the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Valencia (Spain), the Verhoff Gallery in Washington and the Pieter Breughel Art Gallery in Amsterdam.
