Rafael Fernández de Soto (1915-1984)
Catalan painter specialized in the theme of landscapes, the sea and still lifes.
He traveled through Spain in a trailer that served as a studio and space to exhibit his works. His first professional exhibition was in Barcelona in 1944. He was awarded at the Montjuic Spring Exhibition in 1945.
His style moved between photographic realism and surreal symbolism. It was related to Picasso and the gatherings at the Quatre Gats café.
