About the Item

This superb Scottish exhibited landscape oil painting is by noted artist Robert Houston. It was painted circa 1940 and exhibited at the Glasgow Institute in 1940 entitled Loch Lomond from Luss Glen. It is a large and impressive view across Loch Lomond from Luss Glen on a lovely summers day. In the raised foreground are vibrant flora and fauna, the view then dropping down over trees to the blue of the loch with its little islands and the mountains in the background, below a summer sky.
